We’re pleased to introduce to you our renovated period three bedroom holiday house in a quiet residential street just ten minutes walk from the beaches, harbour, shops and restaurants of Weymouth in Dorset. Offering lovely living space and quality furnishings (including luxurious beds and mattresses in every bedroom), this home combines comfort with class.
The holiday home
Downstairs is the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, plus a sunroom leading to the garden. Upstairs you’ll find a king-sized bedroom, twin room and a single, as well as a second toilet.
The rear garden, complete with decking and dining set, is perfect for catching the sun all day round.
To the front of the house, there is free on street parking. Not that you’ll really need a car for a seaside holiday once you arrive – everything you need is ten minutes away on foot.
Why holiday in Weymouth?
Weymouth is a traditional seaside resort, with family entertainment and safe bathing from a sandy beach. It is also a mecca for sailing and other water sports, many based around the picturesque harbour. If you want more than the seaside, Weymouth is a great location for visiting the south and west of Dorset. The town is at the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast. A short way to the east is Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door and to the west Abbotsbury and Lyme Regis. The Roman town of Dorchester is just 8 miles north. Buses are available to all these destinations and bus stops are near. The mainline train station, with regular trains direct to Waterloo or Bath and Bristol, is within walking distance or a very short taxi ride away.
A well-equipped home for your holiday…
The house has been a family project. Two generations (three, if you include six-year old Tia’s input), have worked together to create a beautiful space for us and others to enjoy. We love holidays! Having rented a wide variety of holiday homes ourselves, both as the whole family and with our respective families, over the years we’ve put together a wish list of the things we loved having, or indeed dreamed of having, during our stays. From wishing for a washing machine and a dishwasher (both essential with the three children in tow), to missing a proper-sized freezer (without naming names – someone really loves ice cream), a sharp knife (another someone sometimes packs a sharpener…) and anything to make fresh coffee, to resorting to drinking wine and bubbly out of a selection of plastic tumblers, sometimes whilst dreaming about our much comfier furniture and beds at home, we’ve tried to ensure our Weymouth holiday home has everything for a comfortable and enjoyable stay for the whole family for a week or two.
Talking of family: arrangements can be made by prior request to assist with accommodating smaller children and babies. For example a travel cot or highchair can be made available.
